Mangawhai Golf Course

Situated near the coast in the fast-growing holiday area of Mangawhai, the course was originally designed in 1979 by Harry Dale, a designer of over 60 courses.

The Mangawhai Estuary

The estuary is a short walk, maybe 10 minutes down the main street. The view from the cliff top is stunning over the estuary, sand dunes, the ocean and the islands in the distance. The swimming is great or you can just walk down the stair to dip your feet in the water!

The Mangawhai Tavern

Established in 1865, the historic Mangawhai Tavern is adjacent to the old port where the ships were loaded with the Kauri milled from the bush.

The tavern is now a fantastic live entertainment venue with live music every weekend and a Christmas/New Years festival of live music.
